In the words of Dr Margaret Cook who wrote the professional biography of George Brockwell Gill in 2022:
“George Brockwell Gill has become synonymous with Ipswich architecture as many of the city’s iconic buildings are his work, produced over his 55-year long career. Despite his considerable architectural legacy and contribution to enriching the cultural life of Ipswich, little is known of the man himself.”
Five iconic Gill buildings were selected for the postcards for the Galvanized Festival 2022
