Australian South Sea Islanders in Ipswich
- Australian South Sea Islanders were transported to Queensland from the early 1860s to the early 1900s, with some coming to Ipswich.
Ipswich Early Settlers
- The Ipswich Early Settlers collection features the stories of individuals and families who migrated from overseas and established themselves in Ipswich between the years 1842 to 1904 (opening of Moreton Bay to Ipswich being gazetted a city).
Maps
- The survey maps of Henry Wade and the Garden Allotment Plan date from between 1842 to 1850. These maps represent the earliest European plans for what would become Ipswich and include information such as early land owners, areas allocated for civic buildings, the course of the Bremer River and creeks, the then isolated site of the Ipswich General Cemetery and the vegetation of the Basin Pocket area.
