References (online)Personal, Queensland Times, 26 August 1925Family Notice, Queensland Times, 25 August 1925One of the oldest inhabitants of the One-Mile Estate, Mrs. R. Ryan, passed away with dramatic suddenness on Monday morning, at her home in Edward-street. The news of her death will come as a sad blow to the large circle of friends which her peaceful manner and endearing nature brought round her. The late Mrs. Ryan was born at Warrill Creek, in 1851, and was the eldest daughter of the late Mr. Edward Moore. She later removed to Hampstead, and 10 years ago came to Ipswich, all her life being spent in West Moreton. Up to the time of her death she had been quite well. She was predeceased by her husband, and is survived by five sons, Messrs. Patrick J., Edward J., Thomas., Robert J., and Henry J., all of Ipswich, and four daughters, Mesdames J. S. MacPherson, Brisbane, and R. J. Burton. Wilston, and Misses Josie and Rosanna Ryan.
There are 19 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Father Concannon conducted the service at the graveside.
