This is a story of a Ticket of Leave convict named Edward Moore and an Irish Famine Orphan named Eliza McAnally and their family.
Edward served his time in Port Macquarie before moving to Ipswich some time after receiving his ticket of leave in 1843. Eliza arrived in New South Wales (now Queensland) in 1848 and the couple were married on 4 June 1849. They were to have ten children, only seven have been identified so far.
