Ipswich, Queensland is a city of compelling character, a character that more than anything, arises out of its rich and diverse heritage.
Although Ipswich has retained a grand selection of it's history, much of what remains has been under threat by neglect and modern development. By highlighting the importance of our heritage it can be seen that its conservation has both community and economic value, which makes it our most renewable resource.
Ipswich has found that inherent in its heritage is a present-day journey ... a journey of discovery into its past.Reference IDA Journey of Discovery - 18 minutesAsset TypeVideo - MP4Recording Length00:07:01Buildings & StructuresGarowieGooloowanBelmontRocktonClaremontBusinessesThe Ipswich ClubCribb & Foote Department StoreHancock Brother's SawmillChurches & CemeteriesSt Mary'sSt Paul'sUnited Welsh ChurchCommunity GroupsQueensland Colonial AssociationQueensland Volunteer Engineer Corps.
