DescriptionOne Mile Hotel was established at Little Ipswich in 1866. Hotels were often built on corner blocks to give maximum frontage. Bullock-teams would transport goods to areas beyond the railway’s reach, and return with items such as wool. The main road of a country town was often designed to be wide enough to enable a bullock-team to turn around.
