She was extremely smart and I recall her teaching us Cursive writing. This was called 'running writing' for our young minds. This skill has helped me greatly since that time!

By: Kathryn Rodgers18th May 2022 2:23PMIsabella Kearsley taught me in an exciting way in GRADE 6 in a Grade 6 and 7 composite class in 1972 at Rosewood State School. She kindly presented me with a Prize for writing a Composition titled POLLUTION. In her later years Isabella told me that she was told by the SCHOOL INSPECTOR in 1973 that she was given the top Marks by him in QUEENSLAND as a Teacher. WOW.
Isabella invited me to many functions for fun and to hear Guest Speakers in Rosewood and Ipswich throughout her life. She usually sat with me.
My Brother SHANE RODGERS BA was also one of ISABELLAs Rosewood State School pupils. Shane became Marketer for the UNIVERSITY OF QLD.

By: Kathryn Rodgers6th Apr 2022 1:47PMBright kind and friendly WENDY JONAS was YEAR 10 Dux in 1974. She was my Patrol Leader and friend in ROSEWOOD GIRL GUIDES in the 1970s led by LORNA KANOFSKI Rosewood Citizen of the Year. Wendy became a Queens Guide and later a Girl Guide Leader elsewhere.
Wendy Isabella Kearsley OAM and Rosewood Citizen of the Year and I attended the COMMONWEATH GAMES OPENING CEREMONY in Brisbane in 1982. We loved Matilda the Kangaroo.
Wendy became a Primary School Teacher then Languages other than English LOTE Japanese Teacher.

They often invited me to their Brick Home in Lanefield Road in the 1980s and 90s. I was really welcomed by this jovial family. Ros is a lifelong friend. Their hospitality always included extremely healthy food and a lot of happiness and kindness. Col was a friend and support to many Rosewood State School Teachers even after he moved to Toowoomba.
