In 1946, Turner & Davidson, leadingFruiterers advertised fruit at wholesale prices in their store in East Street which they closed in 1951, after fiftyyears in business. The business relocated to 130 Brisbane Street, opposite Goleby’s and Vic Jensen's, and opened on Saturday, 6 October 1951.George Alfred William Turner informed his customers that he would be conducting a fruit and vegetablebusiness in the Brisbane Street premises.
