Henry Edmund Wyman (Henry Wyman senior)

Henry was strongly involved in the civic life of the City. He was an alderman of the Ipswich City Council and was Mayor in 1894. Henry was the secretary of the Ipswich Fire Brigade Board, secretary of the North Ipswich Cricket Reserve, a member of the Western Star Lodge G.U.O.O.F., was a justice of the peace and a prominent member of the Methodist Church.

He married Lucy Pocock of Bundanba (now spelt Bundamba) at her mother's home on 18 August 1880. 

Henry died at his residence 'Edmunton' on 20 July 1918 at the age of 69. His wife Lucy predeceased him by five years at the age of 53 on 10 March 1913, she also died at  'Edmunton' in Syntax Street.

• 1909: Invited tenders for re-roofing, extensive alterations and additions, painting of the Royal James Hotel at Harrisville
• 1910: Commonwealth Hotel, Union Street, Ipswich
• 1910-1911: Ulster Hotel, Brisbane Street, Ipswich
• 1911: Invited tenders for alterations and additions to residence at Laidley
• 1912: Invited tenders to erect a brick premises in Bell Street, Ipswich
• 1912: Invited tenders to raise a house and extensive building additions in Thorn Street, Ipswich
• 1912: Invited tenders to build a shop and residence at East Ipswich
• 1913: Invited tenders to build a house at Newtown
