Herbert Hoare - Auctioneer

Herbert Hoare established his real estate office at 52 East Street about 1912. He also had a new & used furniture shop on the premises, or co-located. He carried on these businesses until 1954 when John Wild succeeded him in both the real estate agency and furniture mart. By September of 1954 the furniture business was advertised as John Wild's Used Furniture Mart. Herbert Hoare had a presence at the corner of Limestone and East Streets for over 40 years. 

Herbert Hoare lived at Almaden (now named Pindari), 34 Park Street, Ipswich.
