DescriptionPossibly a copy of an image from another studio. Reverend J. W. C. Drane began his ministry in Ipswich Congregational Church in April 1861. He was described as a physically frail man but a fine preacher. He was keen to train young men for the ministry including J. C. Kirby and S. T. Green. Rev Drane managed to increase church membership and had a steady congregation of 25. In June 1864, he retired due to ill health. He died in December 1864.
