Duce Timber Windows & Doors
Since 1934, Duces of Bundamba have been providing timber products to Ipswich households. Earlier in its history, the company made furniture. Then in 1935 they determined that there was a market for tennis racquets and began to manufacture them for the local market. Today (2024) at 90 years old, the business mainly makes timber window frames and doors.
Andrew Duce, previously of Kruger's sawmill, commenced the business at 47 Brisbane Road where Duce's products are still made. Andrew lived in the house next door at 49 Brisbane Road, Bundamba. This building later became the Duce office.
Four generations of Duces have worked for the company including Keith and Adam Duce. The founder was their grandfather and great grandfather respectively.
Today Duce Timber Windows & Doors is known well beyond the Ipswich area and Queensland.
