DescriptionTaken from Bell Street corner, part of the Fox Pharmacy sign can be seen to the left of image. The next building is the National Australia Bank in which Ray Jones had his bookshop and library upstairs. Next is the former site of the London Pharmacy, now (1959) housing public telephones. This building is now (2014) part of the Post Office Tower precinct. The Post Office is next, built in 1900, followed by the Old School of Arts / Town Hall (now, 2014, Ipswich Art Gallery) with the former Bank of Australasia on the corner of Nicolas Street and St Paul’s beyond. On the right of the image is Cribb & Foote department store.
