Description

DescriptionIpswich Grammar School was the first official secondary school in Queensland and the first Grammar School. The school was opened in 1863, and in the lead up to its centenary, fundraising efforts were made for a new classroom block. Head of the fundraising committee was V.Mc.L. Hancock and the headmaster at the time was B.V. Heath. Pictured is a group of people at a centenary fundraising meeting.
