Description

DescriptionFrederick Goleby was Mayor of Ipswich in 1906. He was an Alderman on Ipswich City Council from 1901 to 1906 and from 1907 to 1910. Goleby originally started his business as a saddle and harness maker in 1881. His business was on the corner of Brisbane and West Streets. He was also Treasurer of the Ipswich Hospital Board of Management from 1914 to 1915, and President from 1916 to 1919. He was on the School of Arts Committee, Chairman of the Technical College, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was Ipswich Bowls Club President from 1917 to 1918.
