AddBy: Daintree8th May 2023 3:15AMTaken from Palais Royal Hotel, looking East along Brisbane Street, Ulster Hotel with flood waters to the roof, further up the hill Michael Reals General Store. The worst flooding experienced in Ipswich on record at the time, occurred in February 1893 as three cyclones crossed the coast of South East Queensland and moved inland. The Bremer River flooded three times on the 3rd, 13th and 17th of February. Seven men drowned through the flooding of the Eclipse Colliery at North Ipswich.
