DescriptionQueens Park was the first park to be developed in Queensland. It was first surveyed by Henry Wade in 1842. In his design, Wade had set aside 80 acres and 32 perches for a reserve for Public Recreation and Botanic Gardens. The park was named after Queen Victoria. The Bush Chapel is located at the top of Queens Park, off Merle Finimore Avenue. It is behind the bushhouse and glasshouse. It remains a popular venue for weddings.
