Description

DescriptionF.D.G. Stanley was the architect of the building. This second Congregational Church was erected in 1871 on the southern side of Brisbane Street opposite Wharf Street. The old church at the back of the block was then used as the Sunday School. This went through to Limestone Street. This photograph was from Biggingee Sorabjee Poochee, a photographer in Ipswich between 1864 and 1877. Poochee had a studio for a short time in 1863 at the corner of Bell and Union Streets, Ipswich.
