Description

DescriptionBooval War Memorial soon after it was erected in 1919, on the Green Street side of Cameron Park. The monument was erected by the residents of Booval, Silkstone and Newtown in honour of those who enlisted in World War I. There was a drinking fountain beside the monument at one time but has since been removed. The stone was unveiled on 15 February 1919 by Governor of Queensland, Sir Hamilton Goold-Adams.
