AddBy: Kathryn Rodgers5th Jan 2022 2:10PMOften for early lectures I caught the 6.30am Train from Rosewood Railway Station. Many men who worked at the Railway Workshops caught that Train. Every day those waiting were given a POETRY RECITATION which was a line penned by BANJO PATERSON from THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER.
As the Train arrived the cultured Railway Workshops Worker would daily announce to all ROSEWOODITES about to board the Burgundy Carriages
THERE WAS MOVEMENT AT THE STATION.

By: Kathryn Rodgers5th Jan 2022 2:01PMI recall being well travelled between Rosewood and Roma St from 1979 to 1981 as I studied at the Kelvin Grove College of Advanced Education NOW QUT.
One day I chatted to a then stranger ROS WILSON nee HORNE. She worked on the Switchboard at R T EDWARDS in East St IPSWICH.
We became lifelong friends. She is friendly and always kind.
Sonya Ludkin nee Van Bruggen and I travelled from IPSWICH to KELVIN GROVE in 1979. She had been an IPSWICH GIRLS GRAMMAR SCHOOL student and later taught Prep at WEST MORETON ANGLICAN COLLEGE. She became a lifelong friend. Sonya was friends with the family of Sir Llew Edwards and speaks very highly of them at our Restaurant Meals.
IT WAS GREAT TO HAVE THEIR COMPANY.
