DescriptionThe original school was established as Warril Creek School, built on land donated by Dalby McGrath, who owned Willow Bank Sheep and Cattle Station.
The school was rebuilt as a weather board building and named Amberley State School in 1903.
In 1927, the school had a total of 79 students.
With World War II military activity occurring in the fields adjacent to the school, students were relocated to Walloon, with the school remaining closed between 1942 and 1947.
