DescriptionAnnie Elizabeth Rolley was born in April 1862 to Samuel and Sarah Ann Rolley (nee Bunting) at Bonsall, Derbyshire, England.
She emegrated to Brisbane in 1877 on board the "Roxburgshire" with her parents and two of her brothers, John and Samuel. Her eldest brother William Rolley emigrated in 1880 on board the "Earl Dalhousie" with his wife Eliza (nee Charlesworth)
Annie married Oliver Pocock on 28/4/1880 at Stanthorpe. At the time of her marriage Annie lived at Well Camp near Stanthorpe.
Their first 3 children were born in Stanthorpe (Lucy,Alice and Sarah), their son Oliver was born at Harrisville then the remaining 13 children were born in Ipswich(James, Anthony, Annie,Samuel, George, William, Ruby, John, Henry, Harrold, Herbert, Joseph, Ernest) 14 out of the 17 children lived to adulthood.
Annie died on 04/10/1931. The family lived at Brassall in 1903 and Amberley from around 1905 to 1925.(according to electoral rolls)
The family home, Ormsby, was moved from Amberley to 21 Tallon St Sadlers Crossing. References (offline)Baptism records, marriage certificate, death certificate. birth certificates of the children. Electoral rolls place the family moving from Amberley to Tallon St in 1925 but only oral history that the house was moved.(of my grandfather Ernest Pocock but he was an adult at the time it was moved)
