George Carter was twenty-four when he was transported to New South Wales.

He received his Ticket of Leave in August 1825 but he appeared in the Criminal Court in Sydney and he was convicted again on 4 September 1825 for stealing a cask from Robert Cooper on the 19 August. George was sentenced to seven years at Moreton Bay. He escaped from Limestone on Tuesday 18 November 1828 carrying four days' rations and was apparently never seen again.
