Description
DescriptionThe Old Flour Mill at 231-235 Brisbane Street was built in 1902 and designed by architect George Brockwell Gill. As a mill it was owned by Francis Kates. The mill had the capacity to turn out 35 to 40 tons of flour a week. The building was sold in 1910, and, since then, it has been the Cribb and Foote stove shop, Johnsons Garage, radio station 4IP, Paddys (Paddy’s) Market and in this image, part of the building housed Chris’s New and Secondhand furniture and fabrics.
