Early land selections in Jeebropilly were taken up by Darby McGrath in 1868 and by George Jacobs in 1869. Darby held 1000 acres of first class pastoral land and George 132 acres of Homestead-Agricultural land. In 1869, John Guth had 39 and a quarter acres; August Strohold, 27 acres; Edward O'Sullivan, 45 acres; George Kelly, 150 acres and James Robinson, 200 acres.
