Carole Park

During the 1920s various attempts to drill for oil in the area now known as synergy park took place, while decent quantities of oil where discovered it was deemed to be not enough to be economically viable for the companies.

The first mention of Carole Park was in 1946. A Public Notice appeared in the Courier Mail on 9 December 1946 informing the public that a general meeting was to be held on Mr. Caville's block at Carole Park to discuss the establishment of a State School at Carole Park, Wacol. In August 1948, Mr Bruce who was the Minister for Public Instruction advised that the Executive Council had approved the establishment of a State School at Carole Park, Wacol.

This area was originally known as the ‘Carole Park Estate’ when it was originally subdivided in 1949-1951. The name was only adopted by the Place Names Board in 1972.
