DescriptionOnly remnants remain of the Drystone wall.
Plaque text:
This wall and others in the area believed to have been built by the Coulson family in the 1870s.
In Europe, drystone walls were commonly the result of clearing fields. The stones removed from the field were formed into a drystone boundary fence.
This type of wall is uncommon in Australia where the ready availability of timber allowed fences to be constructed quickly compared with the skilled and time-consuming process of fitting stones together.
