Brisbane Cash & Carry

B.C.C. was a self-serve grocery chain commencing in 1922 in Fortitude Valley. By 1958 when the chain was aquired by Woolworths, there were 32 stores in Queensland.

Brisbane Cash & Carry or B.C.C. as they were known, opened in Ipswich on Thursday 18 July 1929 and were originally located in Nicholas Street where Bearkley's Cafe had been until a month earlier. The female staff wore blue uniforms.

In 1956 the store moved to the corner of Ellenborough and Limestone Streets, where Autobarn now stands.

B.C.C. closed in Ipswich in 1977.
