Description

DescriptionThe Blackall Monument on the right was a drinking fountain and built in 1879 and named after Governor Blackall, second Governor of Queensland, from 1868-1871. It was moved to the corner of Outridge Street and Chelmsford Avenue, Denmark Hill, Ipswich in 1927 when the traffic became too busy around Nicholas and Brisbane Streets.
