DescriptionCaptain Arthur Warren enlisted 31 December 1914 in the 9th Infantry Battalion, 3rd Reinforcements. He attended Ipswich Grammar School and was a teacher at North Ipswich School at the time of enlistment. He embarked for overseas service on His Majesty’s Australian Troopship ‘Seang Choon' on 13 February 1915 from Brisbane. He kept a diary during 1915 (See separate record for transcription of diary on this site). He was killed in France on 18 June 1916. This photograph shows Arthur seated with fellow teachers of the North Ipswich School. He is thought to be the gentleman on the far right-hand side of the photograph.References (offline)See E.
