DescriptionStudent picnic at Cooneana Homestead, that was built in 1868-9 for Samuel Pearson Welsby. Ipswich Girls' Grammar School opened in February 1892 with an enrolment of 37 students. Miss Fanny Hunt was the first Headmistress from 1892-1901.
