DescriptionWhitehouse’s Cafe, Ipswich, 1920s. In 1863 F. W. Whitehouse came to Ipswich and obtained jobs with several Ipswich bakers. His big chance came when the Duke of Edinburgh visited Ipswich in 1868. The bakery owner was absent and his young employee, Frederick Whitehouse did the catering.
