Description

DescriptionThis store was opposite Rosewood Railway Station. It was originally Johannes Ludwig Frederich's store that was opened in the 1870s. It became Ruhno's store and was destroyed by fire in the mid 1970s. In the photograph are Norman Ruhno, leaning against the post in waistcoat and on the left is George Harding, fourth from the right (white apron) is Jack Wyatt. The other employees are not known, while a number of people are also customers. At this time it was the largest country store in Australia.
