DescriptionCoronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth took place on 12 May 1937 at Westminster Abbey. To celebrate this event the students of Bundamba State School performed a miniature ceremony at the National Theatre, Booval on 11 November 1937, during their annual ball, with Ailsa Duce as Queen Elizabeth and Desmond Stirling as King George VI, Thelma Coleman as Princess Elizabeth, and Margaret Coleman as Princess Margaret Rose.
