Description
History
Ipswich has welcomed nine royal visitors since the late 1860s (the Queen Mum came twice, first in 1927 as the Duchess of York, and again in 1958). We have celebrated Royal events, such as the Coronation of George VI in 1937, when students of Bundamba State School reenacted the ceremony; and we have commemorated the passing of Kings and Queens.
