The Bellevue Hotel was located at the corner of Downs and Canning Streets, North Ipswich. In July 1883 Samuel Hubert Swift was granted a license for the hotel. Swift was associated with the Bellevue for the next 25 years until about 1909.

In January 1954 the hotel was significantly damaged by fire but continued to trade.

The Bellevue ceased trading at 10pm on 1 January 1966.

Ron Neilsen, licensee of the North Star Hotel in Ipswich, would build, the Northside Motel (later known as the Motel Monaco) on this site in 1967.
