DescriptionText and audio of 11 minute interview where Kerry talks about her work with setting up and running the Riverview Evacuation Centre, that on any given day would have had about 400 people in it, and how the centre remained open until early February 2011. She mentions that out of the flood several new community organisations have formed, support groups such as Riverview Response and Recovery that has helped several people who have had house fires. She talks about the generosity of the community, businesses and council who gave most of the things the centre needed, in particular Brumby's Bakery, the major supermarkets and Origin Alliance. She says even though it was a tragic event it has created a lot of ongoing community fellowship, and is now a stronger community. . The floods occurred in January and peaked on Wednesday 12 January.
