Aylward Family
Edmond Aylward was born in Ireland ca.1818 and came to Australia aboard the 'Conrad' in 1854, settling in Ipswich that same year. He married Caroline Sprenger who had arrived in Australia on 6 February 1866 and in Ipswich before 1868. Caroline was born on 17 October 1835 in Prussia, she was the daughter of John and Mary Kruger (nee Sprenger).
Edmond and Caroline lived at a number of locations in the Ipswich area including Town Marie, Tivoli, Rosevale, and Worrel. He worked as a labourer, a shepherd and farmer. Edmond died on 5 June 1890 at Rosevale. Caroline had several surnames including Springer, Kruger, Currier, Doring and Aylward. She died on 3 August 1912 at Mt Crosby.
Patrick Aylward was born in 1856. He married Catherine Enright in July 1883 and worked as a labourer, farmer and teamster. Catherine arrived in Queensland and Ipswich in 1883. She was born in 1864 and died on 27 August 1927. Patrick died on 26 October 1932.
