Rosewood Aerated Water & Cordial Factory

W.E. Thomas became the proprietor c1921 following William George Livermore's departure. Thomas was Livermore's stepson and had previously managed Livermore's Ipswich aerated water works.

W. E. Thomas’ aerated waters and cordial manufactory was opposite the Rosewood railway goods shed. Soft drinks were manufactured at the rear of their building and sold in their shop front.  A bore at the factory supplied water for their product. They brewed hop and horehound beers, ginger beer, monsa, and orange drink. Cordials produced were: chili punch, raspberry, lemon juice, clove, peppermint, and sarsparilla. 

In 1927, with partner Cornish, Thomas purchased Sawtell's aerated water factory in West Street, Ipswich and planned to run the two businesses concurrently.
