Goodna State School
Goodna State School opened 1 February 1870 with Miss Augusta Draper as the first head teacher (1st February 1870 - 31st October 1870). She was followed by head teacher Richard Doran, who remained at the school until 1876. After an initial enrollment of 40, the school grew to 100 students by the end of 1870.
Originally located near the railway station, the school moved to its present location in 1922.
A pre-school opened in 1975.
