Bottchers Funeral Directors

In 1904 J.G. Boettcher was conducting funerals at Marburg.

O.Boettchers funerals operated in Marburg for 14 years before moving the main business to Ipswich in 1930 where it was known as Prasser and Boettcher, although Boettcher was sole proprietor. Boettcher retained a  branch of his undertaking business at Marburg, and also had a joinery business there. 

In 1932  the company built a new funeral chapel at Limestone Street, where O. Boettcher also resided.

A new funeral chapel to seat 60 was completed in  1939 by Boettcher & Son. 

Howard Bottcher sold Bottchers in 1968. For the next 30 years it was managed by local families.

In 1998 a new facility at 81 Limestone Street was officially opened on May 15 of that year, replacing the original facility opened 1937?

In 1998 Mary Kypriadis was the manager. 

In 2021 Reed & Bottcher Funerals - 63 Roderick Street. Simplicity Funerals including J.H.Reed & O.Bottcher & Son at 3/54 Limestone Street. ??
