DescriptionThis temporary structure was erected, facing Limestone Street in the gardens next to the Ipswich Soldiers’ Memorial Hall. It was established with funds raised in 1941 to provide a place for Australian and American servicemen to rest, talk, and play the piano in a relaxed environment, other than hotels and cafes.
