Description1937 Ford Model 78 ambulance, with ambulance officer, outside the Q.A.T.B. station, corner of Downs and Flint Streets, North Ipswich. The Ambulance service in Ipswich commenced on the 4th November 1901 as a sub-branch of Brisbane, becoming autonomous in 1906.
