DescriptionArthur Henry Whitehead was the son of F.A. Whitehead who was a well-known photographer in the Ipswich area and operator of Whitehead Studios. Arthur Whitehead was also a photographer. He served during the First World War in the 25th Battalion after enlisting in May 1915. He was captured by the German forces in July 1916 in Pozieres, France after he was wounded in the field. Arthur Whitehead was kept as a Prisoner of War at the Gottingen Camp in Germany until August 1918 when the war concluded.
