DescriptionThought to be Thomas Woodford, Alderman on the Ipswich City Council from 1927 to 1930, and again between 1933 to his death in 1946 at the age of 71. Woodford was born on the Isle of Wight and had come to Ipswich with his parents as a small child. Working as a building contractor with his brother Alfred John Harry Woodford (also an Ipswich Alderman, 1912-1914), he served on the Brassall Shire Council prior to the Ipswich City Council. He married Lily Buckingham and they had four sons and a daughter. He was a member of the Congregational Church and was involved in various sports clubs in the city, including tennis, cricket, swimming and football. He lived at One Mile.
