DescriptionEntrance to the C.E.S building. The Commonwealth Employment Service and the Ipswich Telephone Exchange shared a building situated on the corner of Brisbane and East Streets, Ipswich, 1963. The Commonwealth Employment Service was established in 1946 by the Re-establishment and Employment Act 1945. The CES has since had a name change to Centrelink and is situated at 78 East Street, Ipswich.
