DescriptionWorker at Kruger Sawmill using Wadkin sawmill machinery to cut timber. Founded in 1911 by Carl August Kruger, the firm made 'Slash' brand axe handles, and in the late 1930s was employing 85 people. It opened its own sawmill in 1927 and relocated to Dinmore in 1978.
