Hi
I am currently researching my Great Grandfather's time in WW1 and came across reference to this book. My GGF was also a soldier in the 1st Pioneer Battalion. There is very little information on the 1st Pioneer Battalion available, and this book appears to be quite comprehensive. I would love to read or purchase a copy.
Only problem is that it is only available in 4 libraries, 2 in Qld and 2 in the ACT. I am located north of Sydney and am unable to go interstate, and it is not available for an inter-library loan. I think it must have been a very small print run. If you still have TH Howe's details in your system could you pass me a phone number or address so I can contact him, or else provide my details to him and ask him to call me? I appreciate your help.
Many thanks
Greg

Librarian response:
Thanks for your comment, Greg.
I've contacted Terry and he told me you have already caught up with him.
Good luck with your research.

I am undertaking research into the 3rd Field Company, Engineers and the 1st Pioneer Battalion (both AIF) and have only recently come across Terence King's A Sapper, An Officer and A Gentleman. I am wondering if you might be able to tell me how I can obtain a copy of this book and contact Mr King regarding it. I was only able to look through Mr King's book for a short time at the Australian War Memorial and am aware that it does contain references to my ancestor Capt. Harold Townsend, so I am eager to obtain a copy to further my own research. If possible, I would like to contact Mr King regarding the book. I appreciate that he may not wish to be contacted but I am hoping that he might also be able add further details that did not make the book.

Thank you for your assistance.
