DescriptionRobert and Sarah Menzies acquired Ivy Villa some time after 1876-1877. The area was known at different times as, Rose Hill, Newtown and Limestone Hill but would become Eastern Heights. The Ivy Villa property was on about two acres and was bounded by Whitehill Road, Griffith Road and, after subdivision, Menzies Lane. The home was built in the early 1870s and demolished in the 1950s.
