DescriptionGovernor Blackall was the second Governor of Queensland from 1868-1871. The memorial was originally a drinking fountain and built in 1879. The architect was F.D.G. Stanley. It was moved to the corner of Outridge Street and Chelmsford Avenue, Denmark Hill, Ipswich in 1927 when the traffic became too busy around Nicholas and Brisbane Streets.
